Tour Overview

Detailed Itinerary of the 4-day Lake Mburo and Gorilla Safari

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala /Entebbe to lake Mburo National park.

You will have breakfast, and meet your guide from Safari Vacations and Travel Services. You’ll then start your journey to explore Lake Mburo and the gorilla tour package. You will have an en-route stop at the equator for an experiment and an en-route lunch in Mbarara. On arrival, you will go for a game drive. During the drive, you will be able to see animals in the park. These include zebras, elephants, impalas, Uganda cobs, leopards eland and so many others. In the evening, you will then go for a boat ride on Lake Mburo where you will see crocodiles, hippos, and water birds. Have dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge you booked.

Day 2: Outgoing early game viewing proceed to Bwindi – home of gorillas.

You wake early morning to catch up with hunting leopards looking for what to eat and feed on. Later embark on the long drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. This forest is home to the magnificent giant mountain gorillas in Uganda. You’ll then arrive in the evening, and relax as you wait for the fascinating activity the day after.

Day 3: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi a lifetime memorable experience.

Today is a highlight of your Lake Mburo and gorilla tour adventure! After morning breakfast, you will get ready, along with your packed lunches. First, you’ll drive to the headquarters for a briefing about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. You’ll then embark on a lifetime memorable experience in this magnificent forest for gorilla tracking. The trail you use may reward you with exciting moments of the giant mountain gorillas in Uganda. This will be a reward for the ultimate gorilla experience as well as other primates that inhabit the forest. This may take you about 4-5 hrs in the jungle. You will return to the lodge for dinner and peaceful overnight at the lodge. Depending on the time and physical body condition, you may opt to go for a community walk.

Day 4: After a healthy breakfast, prepare to return to Kampala.

Along the journey, you will enjoy a warm lunch break. Then, Proceed to Kampala / Entebbe airport. Drop off back to your hotel address to end your 4-day Lake Mburo and Gorilla Tour. Alternatively, you can connect with your International home flight at Entebbe International Airport.
