4 Days Jinja and Sipi Falls Safari is an incredible safari that will take you to the source of the Nile in Jinja where you will engage in an amazing boat cruise, white water rafting, and quad biking where you will be able to explore the local communities, tea/sugar plantations, explore the banks of River Nile with stunning views among others. From Jinja, you will connect to Kapchorwa for Sipi Falls hiking where you will hike the three breathtaking waterfalls.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Jinja and Sipi Falls

Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by our driver guide, briefed about the safari, and journey to Jinja. En route, stop at Sezibwa Falls for breathtaking views, birdwatching, and scenic beauty.

Then continue the journey with another stopover in Mabira forest where you will engage in interesting activities like zip lining or a guided forest walk where you will have views of primates like red-tailed monkeys, birds like the great blue turaco, purple-throated cuckoo shrike, Cassin’s hawk-eagle, hornbills, view colorful butterflies, tree species among others.

From Mabira forest you will have en-route lunch and then proceed to Jinja where you will engage in an evening boat ride on the source of the Nile upon arrival. the boat cruise takes about 1 to 2 hours and offers you great views of bird species such as the kingfisher, cormorants, fish eagles, reptiles like the monitor lizards and Nile crocodiles along the shores, have beautiful views of the sundowner among others. After the boat ride you will drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Quad biking and white water rafting

Quad biking, after breakfast on the second day of the 4 days of Jinja and Sipi Falls safari you will meet up with your driver guide to go quad biking training. After the training, you will start riding which is done along the River Nile banks, through the forests, farms, and local villages where you will be able to interact with the local people among others. After the quad ride you will drive back to the lodge for lunch.

White water rafting, after lunch your driver guide will pick you up to go for an adventurous white water rafting which is done on Itanda Falls. White water rafting is done according to grades ranging from grade 1 to grade 5 by the use of small paddle rafts with air and a trained guide who will ask you if you want to proceed to the next grade at the end of each grade which gives you unforgettable memories on your safari. After the white water rafting experience you will transfer back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Sipi Falls for hiking

After breakfast, check out, and meet your driver guide to transfer to Kapchorwa district for Sipi Falls hiking. Upon arrival, head to the lodge for lunch, then proceed to the starting point for a hiking briefing.

After the briefing, you’ll receive a walking stick for support and then begin hiking to each of the 3 waterfalls, a journey that takes about 3 to 4 hours depending on your physical fitness.

Each waterfall gives you a different and unique experience and during hiking, you will have spectacular views of Mt Elgon slopes, Karamoja plains, and Lake Kyoga among others. After the Sipi Falls hike, you will drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Departure to Kampala

After breakfast, check out, and meet your driver guide to transfer back to Kampala. Enjoy stunning views along the way. Upon arrival, your driver guide will drop you off at Entebbe International Airport or your preferred location.
