Our 1-Day Akagera National Park tour takes you to explore the Akagera National Park, located in eastern Rwanda on the border with Tanzania. This will give you a great experience to explore Rwanda’s only Savanna National Park, where a safari game drive can be carried out.
Akagera National Park is famous for harboring the Big Five, with the recent introduction of the lions. Akagera National Park is the only Savannah Park in Rwanda and is home to several mammal species, including Lions, Elephants, Giraffes, Hippos, Kobs, Zebras, Bushbucks, Waterbucks, and most recently, Black Rhinos have been introduced from South Africa, making Akagera National Park officially a Big 5 park like it was many years ago.
Your 1-Day Akagera Safari.
Today early morning, after having your breakfast, our guide/driver will pick you up at about 5 am from your hotel in Kigali and head for a day trip to Akagera National Park, which is about 2.5 hours away from Kigali. Akagera National Park is primarily a Savannah Park with Elephants, Zebras, Giraffes, Buffaloes, Waterbucks, Topi, and recently introduced Lions. We shall take a game drive in search of this wildlife and numerous bird species. The game drive can last about 4 hours, depending on the animal sightings and interest.
Have lunch at Akagera Game Lodge or a picnic lunch in case you packed before your last game drive on your way out of the park, arriving in Kigali later that evening. End of service!
