7 Days Best of Uganda safaris offers an amazing experience of Uganda. Driving to Kibale Forest National Park for chimp trekking, later proceeding to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a wildlife encounter and finally descending to Bwindi Forest National Park for gorilla trekking.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Upon arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be met and welcomed by our company guide/driver and transferred to Kibale Forest National Park – located in the western part of Uganda, a 5-hour drive with en route lunch and great views of the country’s landscape and the people. Later then connect to your lodge for relaxation.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking experience and nature walk at Bigodi Wetland
After early morning breakfast, connect to Kibale Forest for your chimpanzee tracking experience with your packed snacks and water. You will first report at the park headquarters for a briefing before entering the forest for the activity. During your tracking, expect to see a lot of primate species like chimpanzees, monkeys, and other animals like forest elephants, buffaloes, bush pigs and duiker, warthogs, and reptiles as well as a colorful variety of butterflies, after spending an hour with the chimps, return to the Lodge for lunch.
Later in the afternoon, the driver will take you for a nature walk at Bigodi wetland where you will enjoy the silence but only the whispers and sounds of birds. you will be able to spot various bird species while here. Have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and visit the crater lakes
After having morning breakfast, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park- Uganda’s second largest national park. This is a 3 hours drive from Kibale Forest National Park. You will have a stopover at the equator and take pictures then proceed to the park.
You will then head out to explore the crater lakes and go for a nature walk in the Maramagambo forest.

Day 4: Morning Game drive and boat cruise at Kazinga Channel
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will set out for the morning game drive in search of early risers in the Kasenyi area. The park has a diverse Eco-system of grassy plains, rivers, crater lakes, forests, swamps, and lakes. These are home to various types of wildlife (big 4) and a game drive in Queen Elizabeth will reward you with views of animals such as lions, leopards, forest hogs, buffalos, elephants, waterbuck, Uganda Kob, and other types of antelopes.
After returning for lunch then go for a 3-hour launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This cruise will let you pass through a place of the highest concentration of hippos and you may also see many animals drinking at the water’s edge. The cruise also offers a good platform for photography, bird watching, and games. Dinner and overnight stay at as above

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
Early morning after you have had breakfast, meet the driver for your transfer to Kisoro, approximately 4 hours drive via Ishasha sector, and view the tree-climbing lions, with lunch stopovers. Arrive at the lodge in the afternoon. Have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Mountain gorilla trekking experience.
Certainly, this is one of the most exciting days of your safari. Breakfast will be served early and lunch will be packed. The briefing is at 7 am. Your guide will give you highlights of specific details about the way of life of the gorillas you will be tracking. The hike can take anything from 2-7 hours through the steep, densely forested hills and then finally coming across the gorillas camouflaged in the vegetation is an inspiring and privileged moment. Once you reach the gorillas, you are allowed to spend one hour with them as you stand 6 meters away. Upon completion of this magical encounter, you will drive back to the lodge where you can relax in the afternoon or go for another walk to visit one of the communities around.

Day 7: Transfer back to Kampala
After early morning breakfast, embark on a 6-7 hours journey back to Kampala with en route lunch and Equator. Arrive in the evening, refresh, and connect to the airport for your scheduled flight back home. End of Safari
