Detailed Itinerary
Day 1:Arrival and pick up at Bujumbura International Airport and city tour
You will be welcomed by our professional driver guide at Bujumbura International Airport and depart for Bujumbura city for a city tour, you will be able to visit different architectural buildings such as Bauhaus style of architecture (German-style of arts) and military stations which were built by the Germans early 20th Century, visit the meeting place between Burton Speke and Livingston, monuments of heroes of independence, you will later drive to the hotel for overnight
Day 2:Visit the Gishora Drum entertainers
After breakfast you will have a Visit to the Gishora Drum entertainers depending on the time for entertainment, your driver guide will brief you about the time for entertainment and the time to depart for this finest drum entertainment. Drumming and entertainment portray the political power of the monarchy in the ancient regimes, this is an experience of a lifetime, you will later drive to the hotel for dinner and overnight
Day 3:Transfer to Kigali city via Kanyaru boarder
After breakfast, you will bid farewell to the hotel and drive to Kigali Rwanda via Kanyaruthe boarder you will have a stop at Butare town for photography and purchasing of souvenirs and later proceed with the journey to Rwanda, you will arrive in the evening and check in at the lodge for relaxation followed by dinner and overnight
Day 4:Kigali city tour
After breakfast, you will depart for a tour of the capital city of Rwanda well known as Kigali city, you will visit Kimironko market, Belgium peace makers’ memorial a place where Rwanda’s prime minister and 10 Belgian peacemakers protecting her were murdered, Genocide memorial the final resting place for more than 250,000 victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi, Hotel Rwanda, you will later drive back to the hotel for relaxation followed by dinner and overnight
Day 5:Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast you will embark on your vehicle and drive to Bwindi impenetrable National park, you will have a stop along the way for lunch and proceed with your journey crossing Katunathe Border through Uganda, you will arrive in the evening for relaxation followed by dinner and overnight
Day 6:Gorilla Trekking In Bwindi
After breakfast, you will have a packed lunch and embark on your vehicle and drive to the park headquarters, upon arrival you will be entertained with cultural dances by the locals who live around the park and later briefed about the dos and don’ts while doing your gorilla trekking activity, you will later start your trek escorted by the armed park rangers, this trek may take about 2- 6 hours depending on where these gorillas will be for that day.
you may be able to see several bird species and other primate species along the way when you find these mountain gorillas you will spend one hour with them taking pictures and observing their ways of life and later you will come back to the park headquarters for your certificates for a successful gorilla trek in Bwindi, your driver guide will drive you back to the lodge for relaxation and overnight
Day 7:Transfer to Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park for afternoon game drive
After breakfast, you will bid farewell to the lodge and transfer to the southern part of Queen Elizabeth well known as the Ishasha sector, you will arrive in time for lunch and check in at the lodge for your hot lunch and later depart for your afternoon game drive for chances of seeing the tree-climbing lions you will be able to spot other wildlife while on your game drive, you will later drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight
Day 8:Kasenyi Plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park
You will have a morning game drive in Kasenyi Plains to have a chance of seeing wildlife you may have missed in the previous game drive and later drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park for relaxation and overnight
Day 9:Boat cruise on Kazinga channel
After breakfast will depart for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park. You may encounter herds of elephants, buffalos, antelopes, families of warthogs, large groups of hippos, and crocodiles basking on the shore. Kazinga’s shores are a haven for numerous birds, including many migratory species as they make their way south to warmer climates. The cruise also provides a spectacular view of the beautiful Mweya Peninsula and life in local fishing villages set along the banks.
Day 10:Transfer to Kibale forest National park
After breakfast proceed to Kibale forest national park, you will have several stops along the way for scenic views not forgetting the Rwenzori mountain ranges, you will have lunch en route and arrive at the lodge in the evening for relaxation followed by dinner and overnight
Day 11:Morning chimpanzee trekking and afternoon Bigodi wetland walk
You will drive to Kibale National Park Headquarters to meet your guides for the day and begin your chimpanzee experience. Experienced guides, researchers, and trackers will accompany your party on an early morning trek into the forest to view wild chimpanzees as well as several other species of primates in their natural habitat. You will have an opportunity to be within meters of these amusing and very social apes for one hour, sharing their daily lives and experiencing their day-to-day activities. Chimpanzees, our closest cousins, are extremely endangered with only an estimated 5000 remaining in Uganda.
Day 12:Transfer to Entebbe for drop off to end the tour
You will have breakfast and later embark on your vehicle and transfer to Entebbe, you will have a stop along the way for lunch and later proceed with your journey for drop off to end the tour.
